Windows utility

An extra screen, without another monitor.

Create a virtual display for a browser, stream, or separate session. Keep it out of the way while you keep using your computer.

Winter
Preview controls Mouse Keyboard
720p 30 Hz

A focused tool for a spare screen that only exists when you need it.

Winter is built for people who want a clean way to move private browser content, screen sharing, streams, or a separate session onto an extra display without plugging in another monitor.

+

Virtual display

Create one or more extra screens when you need them.

Live preview

Check the virtual screen from your real monitor. Optional preview controls let you interact with it.

Your browser, your choice

Select an installed browser and profile, then open it on the virtual display.

Three steps, then get on with it.

1

Turn on Winter Display

Start the virtual display when you need it, with settings that fit your PC.

2

Open your browser or app on it

Place the browser, stream, or separate session on the virtual screen and keep it out of the way.

3

Share that display or window

Use the app you already prefer for screen sharing, streaming, or calls.

Settings that stay practical.

Winter recommends sensible settings based on the computer, with 720p and 1080p options, 30 or 60 Hz limits, and an adjustable preview frame rate.

  • Choose a virtual display size that fits the job.
  • Use lower preview frame rates when you only need visibility, not constant interaction.
  • Pick 30 or 60 Hz based on how smooth you want the display to feel.

What comes with Winter.

  • The Winter app for Windows.
  • The display component used to create the virtual screen.
  • Optional VB-CABLE support for audio routing, using the original third-party installer.

Winter is not a cloud service, and it does not need another physical monitor to create the extra screen.

Built to stay on your PC.

Winter does not upload your screen, browser activity, accounts, or personal files. It asks before making system changes, and you can revoke optional permissions or remove everything later.

Local by design

Your setup stays on the computer you installed it on.

Clear prompts

When Windows needs confirmation for a system change, Winter should explain why first.

Easy to undo

Winter and its related components can be removed later if you do not want them anymore.

Audio support is available, but it is optional.

Optional VB-CABLE support can route a selected browser’s sound away from your speakers. It is optional, requires confirmation, and uses the original third-party installer.
